Individual assistance service helps people with special needs or disabilities work, entertain, live active, independent life under personal assistant support.
Personal assistance service is available for people with special needs or who have 55 or less of working level.
Once the need for personal assistance has been identified, the person, the personal assistant of his / her choice and the Ukmergė Social Services Center will enter into an assistance agreement, which will provide all the conditions for the provision of personal assistance service. If both sides wpuld agree in some circumstances personal assistance service could be provided by weekends and evenings after normal working hours.
To receive this service, please contact the Social Support Division of the Ukmergė District Municipality Administration, tel. (8-340) 60 332. The person or his / her representative fills in the application for personal assistance service, the social worker assesses the need for personal assistance. The director of the administration of Ukmergė district municipality adopts a solution regarding the need of personal assistance service.
